Bi-Fold Doors & Moving Glass Walls in San Jose
For custom home builders, remodelers, and homeowners across the South Bay. We specify it, supply it, and install it.
Why us on bi-fold
A bi-fold wall is not a door purchase
It is a structural and detailing decision - header sizing, sill type, floor flatness, drainage, and threading the opening through framing, flooring, and finish trades. Most suppliers sell the unit and leave those questions to somebody else. The GC then owns coordination risk across multiple scopes that never lived on one sheet. Flooring waits on sill height. Finish waits on stack clearance. Structure waits on a header that was never sized for the open wall.
Accent specifies and installs, so one company owns the outcome. When the panels don't align, the sill doesn't drain, or the header wasn't sized for the stack, the phone rings here - not three other trades. We write opening requirements into the takeoff so framing and finish are working from the same notes before the order goes in. That coordination is the product as much as the panels.
That is the difference between buying a catalog door and buying a wall that opens. Custom home builders, remodelers, and high-end homeowners across the South Bay send us the opening early because substitutions and late lead-time surprises are expensive. We say when a specified line will not hit the date. We do not quietly swap brands. We stay through final adjustment - panels aligned, hardware set, weatherstrip seated, walked with the customer.
Contractors: send the set for plan takeoffs for your build. Homeowners comparing product packages should also see our Milgard windows and patio and entry doors. Full manufacturer list on brands. Ready to talk numbers - request a quote.
Configurations
How the wall opens
Panel counts and stacking directions, in-swing vs out-swing, corner units, and pocket options. We match the configuration to the opening - not the other way around.
Bi-fold lines carried (Milgard moving glass walls and others) confirmed with Accent before final product naming.
-
Panel count & stack
Even and odd configurations, left or right stack, and where the panels live when the wall is open.
-
In-swing / out-swing
Swing direction affects weather performance, furniture layout, and exterior clearances.
-
Corner units
Post-free corners where the architecture asks for them - coordinated with structure.
-
Pocket options
Where the wall disappears into a pocket instead of stacking in the room.
Sill & threshold
The question almost nobody answers online
Flush or ADA sills give a clean floor transition and demand serious water management. Raised sills are more forgiving on drainage and change how the floor reads. We walk that trade-off on every job before the order goes in.
For the GC
What the opening needs
Header and structural notes, rough opening tolerances, floor flatness, and drainage decide whether a bi-fold performs. We write those requirements into the takeoff so framing and finish trades are working from the same sheet.
If your architect specified a moving glass wall, send the set to our contractor desk - we take it off and flag what the opening still needs.
- Header capacity sized for the stack and wind load
- Rough opening tolerances the manufacturer will honor
- Floor flatness across the full sill run
- Drainage path for flush or low-profile sills
Accent's standard numeric tolerances are confirmed with Tony before publishing exact values.
Options
Screens, glass, hardware
Retractable screens
Screen options that don't fight the open wall when you want air without insects.
Glass packages
Performance glass matched to orientation, Title 24 needs, and how the room is used.
Finish & hardware
Frame finishes and hardware sets that hold up to daily operation - adjusted at install.
Lead times
Quoted per job
Lead time moves by line and season. We quote it against production reality for the series you need - not a brochure average. If a specified line won't hit your date, we say so before you bid the package.
Our install
What “done” means
Crew process from delivery through final adjustment. Panels aligned, hardware adjusted, weatherstrip seated, walked with the customer. That is the handoff - not a pallet at the curb.

FAQ
Bi-fold questions
Bi-fold vs multi-slide - which is right?
Bi-folds stack panels to open a wall; multi-slides stack or pocket panels along a track. Opening width, stack space, sill preference, and how you use the room decide it - we specify both.
What size opening can you span?
Span depends on the line, panel count, and structure behind the header. We size it from the opening and the manufacturer limits for that series - not a generic max.
Will it leak?
Water management is a sill and detailing problem as much as a product problem. Flush sills need drainage and floor flatness; raised sills trade a cleaner floor for more forgiveness. We own that detail because we install.
Can you retrofit into an existing wall?
Often yes - if the header, sill, and rough opening can be brought into tolerance. We walk it before we promise a configuration.
Do you install what you sell?
Yes. Specified, supplied, and installed by our crews.
